There is live music every night and the atmosphere is fun and lively with the easy going, Southern attitude that the restaurant is based on. The happy hour is on all-day Monday and from 4pm to 7.30pm Tuesday to Friday. Catering for private parties is available upon request. The restaurant is also renowned for its fresh fruit margheritas.

Cuisine Type: American

The Big Easy restaurant was founded in 1991 and is situated in the trendy area of the King’s Road in Chelsea. Its American styled burgers, B.B.Q platters and Surf and Turf dishes to name a few has established itself amongst the likes of Johnny Vaughn, Sheryl Crow, Nick Cave and Prince William who keep on coming back for more.

Easy Dining - Big Easy Style

The Big Easy experience is popular with the local regulars, American Ex-pats and all those who frequent and sample the delight and taste of the cuisine and famous Margarita cocktails. If it is enjoying the live band play at night or watching on NASN your local baseball or basketball team play for the championship, this restaurant will no doubt bring you closer to the American shores.

Many diners enjoy celebrating their birthday with us be that kids or adults. They take home with them a part of the Big Easy lifestyle that has made it what it has become today. Friendly staff, first-class environment and superb food have confirmed this restaurant as an all American food institution.

Our monthly promotions of tender and delicate seafood or B.B.Q & chicken platters have become as legendary as the restaurant itself.

There is only one word for The Big Easy – ‘Institution’.  Step inside and you’ll be transported to the Southern American states before you have a chance to say ‘Gumbo’ – my only gripe since I have been visiting is that Daisy Duke hasn’t walked in yet!

It’s not too often that quality and quantity work together, but this place has won awards for its food, whilst great live music every night makes it one of London’s most unique experiences.  The menu features everything from delicious steaks and hickory-smoked chicken and ribs, to mouth watering jumbo shrimp and Alaskan crab, all Bar-B-Qd to “yee-haa” perfection.  And don’t even think about starters without ordering the Voodoo chicken wings.

If you genuinely have room for desert, look no further than the home-made waffles (although if ordering the chocolate, tell them to hold-back on the maple syrup) or the baked cheesecake that looks and tastes like something from an episode of Friends.

The venue is cool & relaxed all the way; from big screen TV’s showing the latest American sports to the checkerboard tables and overhanging pool hall lights.

So go down with your friends, family, or even your cab driver! Just bring someone and revel in a great dining experience!

A couple of months back we visited a place called ‘Big Easy’ which describes itself as a ‘BBQ & Crabshack’ and is around 5 minutes walk from Sloane Square tube. I’m not sure whether or not it’s good form to post about something that happened a few months past but I didn’t write a food blog then and now I do so – ha! The occasion was a friend’s birthday and we all but one opted for surf and turf with the 1-kilo steak and lobster combo. This place has won numerous awards and I can see why. So often this kind of food is so disappointing. It is the sort of cooking you need to get just right, with fresh ingredients, cooked with a little love. The ½ lobster was delicious and we all relished the opportunity to get messy (we all donned the optional, ‘now make yourself look really stupid’ bibs) The steak was cooked perfectly and there was a variety of sauces available; I opted for béarnaise as usual (I can never resist the unctuousness of it oozing all over my uber rare steak). This was served with onion rings which were actually very good, crispy and light and of course, plenty of cold beers were sunk too.

The atmosphere was lively but not oppressive; the one slight grumble being the 2 man act that started knocking out a variety of early ‘90’s chart ‘classics’ towards the end of our meal. Still, whatever floats your boat. It just stifled conversation a little.

All said, this place is a winner and I highly recommend it to all Londoners and visitors alike. We had a delicious meal which I think came in at a little under £30 each (a bargain really, check out the portion above). I was the only one to leave any on my plate but then I was dining with a group of ravenous men who fought over my scraps at the end. Good stuff

really disapointed.
read a review in the metro sayng you can get 40 ribs a kilo of steak and a pound of lobster for £30.
Outright lie.

the review in the metro made me think it would be a fun place for visiting freinds,
I was embaressed by the reality. we were cramed into small area.
It was very expensive, came away hungry - £200+ for 5 people. - small bottle of budweiser = £4.50
staff were rude, she broke my credit card despite me asking her specificlay to be carefull with it.
when I reminded the waitress that I'd ordered a beer that had not turned up she said, no you didn't. ( I think I'd know)

When fried food or barbecue cravings hit you, visit the Big Easy on the King's Road. Unless you're willing to venture all the way to Canary Wharf for Chili's, the Big Easy wins the award for the most typically American lunch option. It's indulgent, casual and completely unsophisticated, which is exactly why I love it so much. The Big Easy isn't about Manhattan-style brunching; it's designed for Southern folk, and it doesn't pretend otherwise. Practically everything on the menu is fried (jalapeno poppers--in London--oh my), and the Big Easy's barbecue is actually pretty good.

If you're really hungry, order the barbecue sharing platter. Be sure to undo your top button before you commence eating!

I used to go here years ago and called up a reservation for a meal. The waiter on the line was rude and incoherent, so i asked for the manager. I was told the manager was away that day, so I asked for whoever was in charge - 'no one came the reply.' Well I've worked in a few places in my time and that's absolute nonsense. When I asked for the managers name I was told 'we don't give out that kind of information'!I sent an e-mail in (you shouldn't blame one bad apple for a restaurant's service), but no one ever bothered to reply. Shame really, because I do restaurant reviews for the London Lite and was working on a 'best places to eat steak piece.' oh dear...

The Nag's Head Pub
A stones-throw from busy Knightsbridge, in a tranquil mews, the Nag's Head is locked in the past. The wooden frontage is like a Dickensian shop ...
