I would just like to say how refreshing it was to come to a chelsea bar, and find a relaxed and cosy environment with not an air of pretentiousness. We ate very well, although not an extensive array of options to choose from, the food really was top notch. And the wine... at a very modest price too for a great Rioja.

I based myself in London for about 6 months in late 1979 to early '80 to tour the UK, the continent and the USA. I stayed in a 'two up, two down' in Finborough Road, so the Finborough Arms was 'the local'. It was a great lace to eat, drink and be merry - I think I still have photos o a fancy dress party I attended there just before leaving, where I dressed as a 'char lady', complete with frill nightgown and feather duster. Ah, one to keep away from the kids! I am oping to get back there next year. Good luck to the current hosts - my memories are so clear of a classic London Pub.

'The Finboro has to be the best pub ever, especially for the pool, music, darts and finest alcohol. But, the main reason I go there is for one fine young barmaid named Kat...omg, she is the greatest Irish export the country has produced. I recommend this pub for anyone in the whole of London solely to see her pulling pints;o) '
